Communication is an essential part of any organization. Communication basically refers to the meaningful transmission of ideas to others, either orally or in writing. Communication has become a very significant subject today for management.  Good communication skills are very important in the business world. Communication is the act of sending a message through different media

Communication is the key mechanism for achieving integration and coordination of the activities of specialized units at different levels in the organization (Radovic Markovic, 2011). Communication is a bridge of meaning. It involves a systematic and continuous process of telling and understanding. .  (Kesavan R. et al.,2004)

According to T.Haiman communication is the process of passing information and understanding from one person to another. It is the process of imparting ideas and making oneself understood by another. (cited in Kesavan R. et al.,2004). Communication is an exchange of facts, idea, opinions or emotion by two or more persons. (koontz and O’Donnells cited in Kesavan R. et al.,2004)

Effectiveness of communication is judged by the response from the communicator, If the communication results in desired action, the communication is effective, if it does not within the reasonable time limit, there is something wrong.

Communication is the path that allows managers to fulfil each management function.  To plan successfully, managers must be able of effectively communicate their vision to the rest of the organization (Radovic Markovic ,M. and Omolaja M ,2009).  To organize successfully, managers must allow for and encourage free-flowing communication both up and down the hierarchy, as well as between departments and colleagues.
